Our first night in Rome and we found this place on Google as it was near our apartment and I'm so glad we went for dinner here. Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere, the servers were all lovely, and the artwork on the walls was gorgeous. The sausage and mushroom pizza was particularly delicious.

My hotel owner recommended this restaurant, explaining that many eateries around Rome’s main tourist areas often don’t offer the most authentic or high-quality food. Although this restaurant was about a 30-minute walk from my hotel, I decided to give it a try—and I’m very glad I did. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. I initially spoke with a very kind staff member and later had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Francisco, who personally came over to greet me. His hospitality truly stood out and made the experience even more special. I ordered a pizza and dessert, and everything exceeded my expectations. The pizza was absolutely delicious—rich in flavor and perfectly made. The owner even surprised me with a complimentary dessert, which was equally amazing. This restaurant deserves a solid 100/100 rating. If you’re visiting Rome from the United States or anywhere else and are looking for authentic, high-quality local food, I highly recommend this place. It makes you feel at home while giving you the true taste of Italy, where pizza and pasta are mastered. I will definitely visit again every time I return to Rome.

Our last night in Rome. Wish we'd discovered sooner. Staff are so lovely and helpful and welcoming. Food was fantastic. We had pizza, chose the place because it looked authentic Italian and it really is. If I recommend one dish it's the tiramisu. Best in Rome hands down. Light, moist, fresh. Melt in the mouth. I've had tiramisu every day I've been in Rome and this is the best by miles.

If you want a taste of a REAL family-run restaurant, then this is it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted like family — warm smiles, genuine hospitality, and that unmistakable aroma of home-cooked food. Every dish is made with love and tradition. Maria, the owner (and also the sweetest lady you’ll ever meet), makes sure of it. And did I mention the desserts? Giuseppe’s cheesecake and tiramisù are simply heavenly. What truly makes this place special is the atmosphere. You can feel the family’s passion in every detail — from the rustic décor and hand-painted artwork to the food that leaves the kitchen. (Be sure to have a peek at the cellar!) Coming here alone? Riccardo will make sure you feel like part of the family. He has a real gift for connecting people and even pairing lost travelers together over a good meal and a glass of wine. It’s the kind of restaurant that makes you slow down, savor every bite, take in the atmosphere, and enjoy the company around the table. So, if you’re looking for authentic flavors and heartfelt service, you’ve found the right place. ????????

This charming little restaurant sits right next to our accommodation, and on our first night, we decided to give it a try instead of wandering around in search of dinner. I'm so glad we did — the atmosphere had a lovely, homey feel, with the owner personally taking orders, chatting with guests, and even serving the food. I had the homemade meatballs, which were absolutely delicious, while my husband went for a pizza with a perfectly thin, crispy crust. We also shared a plate of grilled mixed vegetables — aubergine, mushrooms, artichokes, zucchini, and capsicums — all wonderfully seasoned and full of flavour. A perfect welcome meal!"

Maria and Ricardo were excellent hosts and we felt at home right away. We had the olives to start with then had the Tripa à la Romana which was perfectly cooked while the Spaghetti Carbonara was fresh, creamy and tasty. The side of artichoke is just delicious and the Tiramisu is very satisfying. We must go back!!! What a true gem of a place! So grateful for the experience!
